Unfortunately, due to habitat destruction, tapir populations are decreasing. However the Ejido of Nuevo Becal located in the State of Campeche in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico has the privilege to host tapirs. Throughout my field work trying to understand the role of tapirs in the ecosystem i have worked with the community of Nuevo Becal. This poster is a small window to the life of Nuevo Becal, a tapir land!
